About Arise2 Grow More

Personal growth is important! It is a major part of self-care. By growing physically, mentally, and emotionally, it is easy to forget about our spiritual side. We need to grow there, too.

The Believers Instruction Book: Living Edition says in Ephesians 4:15 that we will speak the truth in love, growing in every way more and more like Christ.  We don’t want to be like those believers in Hebrews 5:12-14 who should be teaching others but are like babies who need milk and cannot eat solid food. Arise2 Grow More is a site for maturing believers to get solid food, to be encouraged, and inspired to grow spiritually.

According to 2 Peter 3:18, we must grow in the grace and knowledge of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Spiritual growth is a process, a step towards God. We need to train ourselves to be godly. With each step we take, does it move us closer to God or away from Him? Arise2 Grow More is a site to help others move closer to our Creator. As we move closer to the King of kings, His kingdom grows more because we want to share this Good News we experienced with others.

At the end of each post will be a prayer to help get the conversation with God started, verses to look up, a song to listen to, and a call to action. The hope is that these little actions will start a habit to spend time with God and see God working in your lives.

Who is behind Arise2 Grow More

The Holy Spirit has been guiding Imelda Weaver to create Arise2 Grow More for quite a long time but Imelda has difficulty listening or as some would say, “is stiff-necked”. She has a stubborn streak in doing things her own way. Her husband, Scott, had advised her to start a blog as he was doing in 2014, but she decided to take the ‘easier’ path of starting a Google+ account. That went quite well until Google+ was sunsetted in 2019.

Again Scott encouraged Imelda to start a blog but she decided to start using Facebook Notes instead. When Facebook took Notes away, she started a Facebook Group but no one joined until this year, 2023.

Imelda finally felt ‘called’ to start a blog. The Holy Spirit had been patiently putting little encouragements/nudges in her devotionals, Bible reading, Sunday messages, songs on the radio, and conversations to do her part to glorify God by sharing what He has done in her life and what she has learned in her studies and her research about the Creator of the universe.

She has not gone to seminary so we highly recommend that you do as the people of Berea in Acts 17:11. Imelda has participated in The Theology Program with her church, currently has 233 perfect weeks of reading the Bible, volunteered in Sunday School since her oldest was a toddler, and wrote for teen/tween magazines.

Imelda is a very shy and private person so blogging is so out of her comfort zone. With the spiritual growth she has gone through, she is able to step out in faith to share what God is doing in her life. She is still learning to obey the Holy spirit and not to be so stubborn.

When not studying the Scriptures, Imelda assists Scott in any way she can so that he can work on his business and ministry. She was jealous about how Scott was enjoying helping people with his consulting/coaching business. So when an opportunity to start a business of her own came up, she said, “Yes!” and signed up.

Scott wanted 4 kids and Imelda didn’t want any so God blessed them with 2 kids now grown. They moved halfway across the country during the first year of COVID to be closer to their youngest and because  Scott felt the Holy Spirit leading them and Imelda finally agreed.

What is the Holy Spirit prompting you to do? Maybe He has put in your heart to encourage Imelda to continue to step out of her comfort zone. Send her an email or fill the contact form below.
