Easter is a great time to remember that we don’t need to wait till the end of the year to begin something new. Jesus coming back to life gives us hope that if our businesses or goals seemed dead, we can ask God for a fresh start.
It’s a great time for reflection and looking forward to a fresh start. Scott has a quarterly planner that he uses to focus on his goals three months at a time. With the end of the quarter coming up, he can review his activities and renew his long term goals.
If you find yourself behind on your goals, you may need to review them more often. Missing the target is easy if we forget where we’re going. So put your goals where you can see them often. A note on your monitor or the wall may be a good spot.
To get more motivated, list three things to do that will move you forward on your goals. Then do those three things in the next fifteen minutes. You’ll be surprised by what you can accomplish when you have a short list and a deadline. If this didn’t work out, give yourself grace and make the deadline the end of the day.
For a reminder on how to set doable goals, read my “Moving Forward” post. For more motivation, check out my “Keep Going” post. Of course, prayer is always a great action to do every day.
