Have you ever had to do something but didn’t have the right tool handy, so you just used what was available? I didn’t have a fly swatter or magazine handy, so I used a rolled-up packaging envelope. It was too stiff and so it took several tries and waiting for the fly to not be on the windows edge before the fly was squished.
If I had the right tool, it wouldn’t have taken so long or been so frustrating. I think that is why a company provided the right tool for putting their product together. My son ordered new pots and pans. When we opened the box, assembly was required. The pots had a different size screwdriver than the pans, but since the right tool was provided, it didn’t take long and was easy to put the products together.
It’s a good thing God can use us no matter if we don’t feel right for the job. He made us for a specific purpose and we need to trust Him to accomplish that. Remember Moses didn’t feel he was the man for the job God called him to.
We were made so that we can accomplish God’s purpose. He gave us spiritual gifts so that we can help further His kingdom. Remember Timothy was young and used his gifts to lead a church.
We are to let God use us as tools for righteousness. We are His workmanship to do good works for His glory. We can also rely on God for the tools we need to fulfill His purpose through us.
Prayer
Almighty God in heaven,
Thank You for the precious gift of salvation so that we may present ourselves as tools for Your glory. Help us to make choices that align with Your will. May Your Holy Spirit guide our actions, motives, and thoughts to reflect Your holy ways.
In Jesus’ name, Amen

Song
“Lifesong” by Casting Crowns is a song that best fits this post from songs that already were picked for previous posts and from a new song that I didn’t like the title.
Call To Action
If you have already prayed, looked up the verses in your Bible, and listened to the suggested song, then read the story of Moses (Exodus 3 & 4) if you are feeling inadequate or the story of Timothy (1 & 2 Timothy) if you need guidance.
