As believers, we want to be in the will of God. Our Heavenly Father wants that, too. So He has told us through the Scriptures what His will is. There are verses that actually say what God’s will is for us.

This world is filled with many influences and choices. The Bible tells us to not copy the ways of the world but to be transformed by renewing our minds. Filling our minds with His Words every day helps us focus on His ways when we’re making decisions or being influenced by opposition.

Asking God to fill us with knowing His will through prayer and relying on the Holy Spirit is an important part of growing spiritually. Knowing what to do is just the first part. We need His strength to follow through because it can be scary to do what He asks us to do especially when it’s something new.

Being thankful for everything is the will of God. We should be joyful, pray always, stay away from evil, and be guided by the Spirit. It is God’s will that our honorable lives will silence the foolish people. Jesus is our example of how to live for others.

God’s will for us is to be holy, keep away from sexual sin. We should be different from those who do not know God. Our bodies and actions are to be used to honor our Heavenly Father.

It is the will of God for everyone who looks on Jesus and believes in Him to have eternal life. Our awesome God wants us to be with Him forever.

As we get to know our Heavenly Father more, we will know more of His will for us. Spending time in His Words and with other believers helps us to grow closer to Him and be able to make better choices

Prayer

Almighty God in heaven,

Thank You for wanting Your will in heaven to be done also on earth. Help us to know Your will and to work with You to accomplish them. May we honor you with all that we do.

In Jesus’ name, Amen
