I was going to write about our Thanksgiving road trip but I just couldn’t get started. I was distracted, I didn’t know how to start, and it was like a writer’s block to just get the first sentence. So now I’m going back to the idea I had earlier which I thought wasn’t “family” material which made me switch to the road trip idea.
This idea about coloring pages came one morning while still in bed. Maybe it was a dream or my subconscious mind trying to find another income stream. So I found a way to make images I already have into coloring pages. I collect inspirational quotes and I’ve put them and also verses onto pictures. These can become coloring pages.
I don’t usually color but I know people who do. My daughter, a young adult, used to bring a bag full of colored pens, pencils, and a coloring book with her wherever she goes (now she brings yarn and her crocheting project). When I do color, I find it relaxing and I feel better afterwards. Some people told me that coloring helps them unwind from stress. Other people say that it is freeing because they get to be creative and color the way they want to.
I did a quick research online and found out there are many places to get free coloring pages. So I won’t be selling these but give them away as gifts to those that support our cause. I trust God to help us with our finances but we need to be doing our part, too.
