Have you ever felt like you have a connection with someone you just met or felt like distance or time has not kept you apart from a close friend? For believers, this should be a common experience because of the Holy Spirit that unites us.
As believers, we are part of a huge family. We may not be closely related (we all come from Adam and Eve) but we have God as our Heavenly Father and Jesus as our brother and friend. The Holy Spirit bonds us together.
Because we live in a fallen world, I am surprised (though I shouldn’t be) when believers that I don’t personally know do something that makes me feel like family or a very close friend. I’ve been told that a church that I’m not familiar with is praying for our family.
People we’ve never met, but are friends of our friends or even complete strangers, chose to help pay our medical bills. That humbles me and makes me praise God who places the right people in our lives at the right time.
This would be a much different world if every believer remembered their true identity and behaved in a loving way. There would be a little bit of heaven on Earth. That is what I imagined the first church was like and how the world will be when God creates a new earth.
Prayer
Dear Heavenly Father,
Thank You for the Holy Spirit that is in us. Help us to be united in love the way Jesus loved us. May others come to know You because of our love for each other.
In Your Son’s precious name, Amen.

Call to action
If you have already prayed, looked up the verses in your Bible, and listened to the suggested song, then think about the last time you were blessed by someone you didn’t know or ask God how you can be a blessing to another person.
